Gbolahan Peter Macjob is an Emmy nominated journalist and filmmaker with over 30 years’ experience and has written and produced some of the most riveting content across the BBC World Service platforms including TV and radio documentaries, podcasts, features and news reports.

He is currently CEO Afristar Studios, a production company specialised in telling local African stories to a global audience through documentaries and films. His latest historical epic film titled Ireke: Rise of the Maroons spotlights the 18th century maroon rebellion – a story which until now had never been told on film.

In addition to storytelling, Peter is also the founder of Abeokuta International Film Festival - a showcase of Nollywood – Nigerian Film Industry in its authentic rich cultural form and a platform for local filmmakers to present their talents to a global market.

Peter is also a published author of a children’s book and an award-winning comedian. He is Harrogate comedian of the year 2014. 

Peter is a huge sport’s enthusiast. A qualified basketball coach-referee, recognised by England Basketball Federation. He holds a first-degree black belt in Karate and was a cruiserweight boxing champion of the European Boxing Federation - EBF semi-professional league.With over 10 years of experience, AKM Talent Management has developed a reputation for delivering outstanding performances. He has been featured in numerous television series, films, and theatre productions. He has also won several awards for his acting skills.
